Time to consider organizing your death

You’ve possibly heard of the book “The gentle art of Swedish death cleaning” by Margaretta Magnusson which focuses on reducing your clutter as you age so that family and loved ones don’t have to get upset and spend hours rifling through your wardrobe and boxes of trinkets you kept over your life. While that makes sense to de-clutter and only keep the items you truly cherish in order to pass on to grandchildren I recommend getting a death box.

What is a death box?

A death box is similar to a memory box only a death box will contain information about your funeral plans what type of plan you have including all documentation. It could also include a list of songs you would like to be played at your funeral or a particular hymn or passage from a religious or non-religious book. If you want a burial or a cremation. Which church or religious place you want the funeral to take place. If it is religious at all or if you want a simple wooden coffin or to be buried in a forest.

Basically the death box is for storing up documents, paper work, USB sticks, passwords and other important information that saves your family and loved ones time wasted looking around for the information.
